Nikon 7540 Monarch 3 - 8x42 Binocular Reviews:
The difference between the new Monarch 3 and the Nikon Monarch ATB is that the newest model (Monarch 3) has a longer eye relief, which is especially good for those who have glasses. It is an upgrade with better lens coating to allow the images to be brighter and have better resolution.
It's hard to go wrong with these binoculars in regards to the best bang for your buck. The adjustability as well as the clarity is top notch. One reviewer who spent about three weeks researching different models on the web as well as hands on at a sporting good store couldn't find anything in its price range that could compare. They went on to say that it wasn't until they hit the $750 dollar range from another manufacturer that they could find anything to compare it with.
Another person mentioned that they bought these binoculars for a goat hunt after losing their last set and stated that the conditions were tough with wet and freezing weather making the trip difficult at best. None the less, these binoculars remained crystal clear as well as remaining fog proof the entire time. The binoculars actually ended up rolling down a 100 foot plus rock face in a pack after a strap broke, and the buyer was sure they would be damaged if not ruined. Amazingly the purchaser found them to be just as clear and crisp as when they first got the binoculars.
The one negative review came from a consumer that was expecting another great Nikon product but they ended up being disappointed in this product. In their opinion, the binoculars are very difficult to adjust to their eyes so they let their buddy use them and he ended up dealing with the same problem. They stated that if your eyes aren't perfectly positioned then the views will be very distorted.
In the end however, all the reviews have proven to be positive at the time of this writing. Another reviewer even mentioned that it's hard to believe that someone can own this much optical quality for the asking price of these binoculars!
If you are looking for a high quality pair of binoculars it wouldn't hurt to give these ones a try. It will provide clarity and it possesses great light gathering abilities. You will find the images to be crisp and clear. I have no problem with recommending these binoculars to anyone.
